Kimfosan manufactures two product families for the metal forming industry: KİMSOL zinc phosphate coating chemicals and Kimkal drawing soaps. Both are used on steel wire drawing, tube drawing and cold forming lines, at complementary steps of the same process chain. The company has been producing since 1982 and is Türkiye's leading manufacturer of drawing soaps.
Zinc phosphate coating forms a porous, crystalline conversion layer on the metal surface, and the drawing soap anchors to that layer. Without the phosphate layer the soap cannot be carried into the die, does not stay in place under pressure, and metal-to-metal contact starts at the first die. When the two work together, friction, die wear and surface defects drop measurably. This is why Kimfosan supplies both product families as a single chemical system.
On carbon steel and low-alloy steel; in steel wire drawing, tube drawing, profile drawing and cold forming (bolts, nuts, fasteners). The typical user is the drawing and forming department of an iron-steel or metal plant. For the phosphate layer to build properly the surface must be free of scale, rust and oil, so degreasing and rinsing stages are required on the line.
Yes. Where standard products do not fit your line, we adapt the formulation to your water, your metal, your reduction per die and your line speed. This is a routine part of the R&D work we have run since our founding, not an exception. Our engineers visit the plant for commissioning, bath monitoring and operator training.

Technical data sheets (TDS), safety data sheets (SDS) and application notes are not published for open download on the site; they are shared by e-mail on request, in the current version matched to your product. Production takes place at our facility in Kartepe / Kocaeli on a total area of 4,000 m², with annual output above 600 tonnes. Quality, environment and occupational health and safety are managed under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018. Every batch is checked in the laboratory before shipment; a retained sample is kept so production remains traceable.
Tell us about your metal, your line and your targets; our technical team will recommend the right chemical system and a sample.
